I thought i’d upload some pictures of my hair while it’s wet with conditioner. Without conditioner on it’s harder to see my true texture but i’ll include one picture without conditioner on.

As you can see i have type 4 hair. I would consider it mostly 4b with 4a texture at the hair line.

The hair typing chart is not conclusive, no. But it gives me a rough guide as to what my hair is like and helps me to set real styling and regime goals. It helps me to understand my hair a little bit better.
