This is week 6 of my Maximum Moisture Therapy Experiment, a variation of the Maximum Hydration Method. I’m continuing with the two-step clay system I started last week with the adjustment of washing my hair every other day.
Wash Day Routine – Every Other Night
- BS/Clay Mix & Finger Detangling – Applied in sections, covered and left on for 10-15 mins
- ACV/Clay Mix – Applied in sections and left on uncovered for 15-20 mins
- Styling Products – Cuticle Mist, Eco Styler Gel, Light Oil Spray (morning)
For the clay mix recipes check out last weeks post. I’m washing my hair at night so my hair isn’t soaking wet during the day.
7 Day Snapshot
* I decided to use my diffuser to speed up my drying time on day 5 after washing and applying product and it totally frizzed out my hair, as you can see in the morning pic. I think I wont be using that again unless it’s really necessary.
My hair has really taken to washing every other night. My concern for this week was mainly based around the reduced amount of washing and whether that would set me back in my coil definition progress. But actually I think the opposite has occurred. I’m not sure why but my coil definition is coming on really nicely, probably more so then when I was washing every day. So this is what I will be sticking to for the foreseeable future.
This will be my last detailed post on my weekly Maximum Moisture Therapy experiments, but I will do regular updates to keep you posted on my progress. I’ll probably do a ‘my progress so far’ type post next to compare the weekly progress my hair has made up until now.
Until next time!
