It’s been 3 months since Delaiah’s microlocs were installed and an update is definitely due. Below are pictures of what her hair currently looks like.

Her hair was freshly retightened the day before. Here’s a close up texture shot.

For the next update I’ll do side by side shots of previous updates so you can see the progress her hair is making and catch the changes in her locs.

It’s been going pretty well so far. No major set backs or issues. I’ve stuck very closely to the regime I set out for her and it’s working well. I seem to be getting faster at retightening her hair. She’s had 3 retightenings so far and each time I’ve finished her hair in less hours then the previous one. I’m still doing it over 2 days but the hours are less. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to finish her hair in 1 day very soon (if I can be bothered, lol).

Current Regime

Nightly – Moisturise, twist in sections and cover with satin scarf

Every 2 Weeks – Wash & Air-Dry in twisted sections

Every 4 Weeks – Retighten

Products used

Nightly – Water (in a spray bottle) or Hydrating Loc & Scalp Spray (I made).

Washing – Diluted clarifying shampoo & Sodium Bicarbonate Mix (1st lather), Moisturising Loc Shampoo Spray (I made) (2nd lather). Followed by Hydrating Loc & Scalp Spray and Light Loc & Scalp Oil Spray to twist.

Retightening – Water (in a spray bottle).

As you can see, it’s a pretty simple regime.
