Maximum Moisture Therapy – My Progress So Far

For the past 6 weeks I’ve been experimenting with variations of the Maximum Hydration Method. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Week 1 – Conditioner Only Washes – Daily
Week 2 – Co-wash & Clay Mask – Daily
Week 3 – Clay Mask Only – Daily
Week 4 – BS/Conditioner Clarifier & Clay Mask – Daily
Week 5 – BS/Clay Clarifier & ACV/Clay Mask – Daily
Week 6 – Same as week 5, reduced washing to every other day

BS = Bicarb of Soda, ACV = Apple Cider Vinegar. Click on the weeks for more in-depth info on what I did and the products I used.

My Progress in Pictures

As you can see, my hair has a lot less shrinkage now and the coil definition is coming along really nicely. This is due to the ever increasing moisture my hair is retaining. It takes a few months of sticking consistently to the regime in order to get the best results. So I’m going to continue with the Week 6 regime until further notice. I will probably deep cleanse my hair with a clarifying shampoo and deep condition with a conditioning mask at some point, just to keep things moving along nicely.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Maximum Moisture Therapy experiments and have hopefully been inspired to try something new with your hair.

Until next time!
